How Commissions Work

To keep {{platform_name}} running smoothly and sustainable for the long term, we apply a small platform commission on successful transactions. This commission helps cover operational costs, payment processing fees, support, security, and continuous platform improvements, while keeping the marketplace accessible to everyone.

Our commission model is designed to be fair, simple, and vendor‑friendly, especially for new providers joining the platform.

Commission Rates

For Client Requests / Contracts

A commission is applied only when a contract is marked as completed.

Standard Commission:
10% of the completed contract amount

Vendor payout:
90% goes directly to the vendor.

This ensures vendors earn the majority of each completed job while still supporting the growth and maintenance of the marketplace.

For Listing‑Based Sales (If Enabled)

If a listing includes an associated service or fixed‑price sale:

• 10% commission on successful sales
• Vendor receives 90% payout

No fee is charged for:

• Creating listings
• Messaging
• Sending offers
• Browsing the marketplace

You only pay when you get paid.

Why We Use This Commission Structure

Our goal is to maintain a high‑quality, secure, and valuable ecosystem for both vendors and clients. The commission helps fund:

• Secure payment processing
• Dispute handling & safety controls
• Fraud and abuse prevention
• Platform hosting & infrastructure
• Continuous product improvements
• Vendor & client support
• Marketing and platform exposure

We avoid heavy upfront membership fees so new vendors can join, test the platform, and grow without financial pressure.

Transparency First

We believe in clear and predictable pricing:

• No hidden fees
• No listing fees
• No monthly vendor charges (unless you choose a paid Featured upgrade)
• You pay only when you complete work or make a sale
• Payout amounts are shown before you accept any job or confirm a transaction

Your commission and net payout will always be visible in:

Dashboard → Earnings → Payout Summary

Featured Listing Boosts (Optional)

Commission is separate from visibility features.

If you want more exposure, you may optionally purchase:

• Featured Listing — 30 Days
• Featured Monthly Subscription
• Featured Annual Plan (30% OFF)

These upgrades do not affect your commission rate; they simply help you attract more clients by increasing your visibility.

Payouts

Vendor earnings (after commission) are released to your connected payout method once the order is completed and cleared.

Payout timing depends on your payment processor (Stripe, WooCommerce Payments, etc.).
