Verification is designed to support platform integrity, reduce misuse, and help clients make informed decisions when engaging professionals.
Verification requirements are proportionate, risk-based, and may vary depending on service type, account activity, trust level, or optional membership tiers such as Verified Pro™.
Purpose of Verification
The purpose of professional identity verification on TaskerElevate is to:
- Promote trust between clients and professionals
- Reduce fraudulent or misleading accounts
- Maintain platform safety and service quality
- Support responsible use of the marketplace
Verification is not intended to replace client due diligence or independent professional assessment.
What Verification May Involve
Depending on the circumstances, identity and profile verification may include one or more of the following:
Contact & Account Verification
- Confirmation of email address and phone number
- Validation of account activity and account integrity
Professional Profile Review
- Review of profile completeness and accuracy
- Assessment of professional descriptions, skills, and experience
- Review of linked professional accounts (such as LinkedIn or portfolio websites)
Credential & Qualification Review (Where Relevant)
- Review of uploaded certifications, qualifications, or licences
- Verification is limited to confirming that documents appear authentic and relevant
- TaskerElevate does not independently certify or license professionals
Optional Government-Issued Identification
In limited cases, TaskerElevate may request optional government-issued photo identification, such as:
- Australian driver licence
- Passport
Government-issued identification is not required by default and is only requested where additional assurance is appropriate, such as:
- Enhanced trust tiers (e.g. Verified Pro™)
- Higher-risk service categories
- Suspected misuse or account integrity concerns
- Enterprise or institutional client requirements
TaskerElevate does not require professionals to submit government ID unless explicitly requested.
What Verification Does Not Mean
For clarity, identity verification on TaskerElevate:
- is not a background check
- is not a criminal history or police check
- does not guarantee professional competence, licensing, or qualifications
- does not guarantee service quality, outcomes, or results
- does not constitute government, regulatory, or legal endorsement
Verification confirms that certain information has been reviewed for platform trust purposes only.
Clients are encouraged to independently assess professionals by reviewing profiles, credentials, portfolios, communication, and reviews before engaging services.
Verified Pro™ Status
Professionals who complete enhanced verification steps may be eligible for Verified Pro™ status.
Verified Pro™ status indicates that additional identity, profile, or credential checks have been reviewed by the platform.
It does not imply certification, licensing, or regulatory approval.
Data Handling & Privacy
TaskerElevate applies a privacy-first approach to verification.
Any verification information collected is:
- stored securely using appropriate technical and organisational safeguards
- accessed only by authorised personnel or trusted verification service providers
- used solely for verification, safety, and platform integrity purposes
- retained only for as long as necessary
TaskerElevate does not sell verification data or use it for marketing purposes.
All personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws.
